"Our team showed again this week that we are a strong contender in every event we tee it up," said head coach
John Carlson. "The six-count-five format was a different type of pressure as it showed the true depth of each team. We were able to get contributions from everyone in the lineup."

th place with a 54-hole score of one-over par 217. Long posted an even par 72 in Monday's opening round then improved by a stroke in the second round with a 71. He wrapped up the tournament with a 74 on Tuesday, snapping a stretch of seven consecutive rounds at even par or better.

"Today was difficult with windy conditions and playing in the final group with two highly-ranked Big Ten teams," Carlson said. "The more we get in the mix to win, the easier it will become to execute and earn a championship."
