Sondra D'Amore has announced the fifth signing for the 2026 Huskies program.
Charizma Lofton is set to join NIU after competing for Daytona State College. Lofton averaged 2.78 kills per set this season for the Falcons and led them with 239 kills. Lofton helped the Falcons to 14 wins this season and saw action in 26 games.
Lofton, an outside hitter from Gainesville, Virginia, played her prep ball at Gainesville High School. Lofton collected First Team All-Region and All-District honors as she led the team in kills per set and was second in digs per set. Off the court, Lofton earned Summa Cum Laude honors and was a two-year member of the Dean's List.
Lofton joins Lilly Abney, Charlotte Gramzow, Aiden Lightburn, and Katie Pahl as the newest members of Huskie volleyball.
