PEORIA, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team bounced back from a narrow loss to Bradley with a 4-3 victory over Kansas City on Saturday afternoon.

Senior
Nataly Ninova (Palma de Mallorca, Spain / IES Centre De Tecnificacio Esportiva IB) kicked her winning streak to seven matches with a 6-4, 6-1 win in her first appearance at No. 2 this season.
Freshman
Rebeca Garcia Miralles (Castellón, Spain / IES Sos Baynat) also extended her winning streak to seven matches with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 win over Luciana Braga to set up the clinching point for the Huskies.
Yecora (Seville, Spain / IES V Centenario School) sealed the match for NIU despite dropping the first set, pulling off a 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 win against Catherine Chrobak.
The Huskies will cap their three-match weekend on Sunday, traveling to Western Illinois for a 11 a.m. tilt with the Leathernecks.
