DeKALB, Ill.—Due to the risk of severe weather, the Northern Illinois University softball team (11-10) has cancelled the midweek series with the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
The Huskies and Flames (UIC) were set to play a doubleheader on March 31, beginning at 4 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field in DeKalb.
NIU is coming off a series win against the University of Massachusetts on March 27-28, winning two of three games. This season, NIU has won two of three conference series after they defeated Buffalo in the opening weekend.
The Huskies will return to action as they travel to Central Michigan on April 3-4 for a three-game series. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT on April 3 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
