Mountain West Launches MW+ Streaming Platform Powered by Kiswe

MW+ is the new home for Huskie football and gymnastics content

DEKALB, Ill. -- The Mountain West today announced the launch of MW+, its new direct-to-consumer digital subscription platform, powered by leading streaming technology and services company, Kiswe. MW+ will be the new home for Northern Illinois University Football and Gymnastics content, including five live Huskie football games this fall.

Subscriptions to MW+ by Huskie fans will also directly support NIU Athletics as a majority of each subscription purchased through a member school's dedicated page will support that institution, creating a scalable and sustainable revenue opportunity aligned with fan engagement. "MW+ is a must have streaming platform for Huskie fans as we enter the Mountain West," said NIU Vice President/Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean T. Frazier. "Not only will subscribers get exclusive Huskie content, including live football games and gymnastics competitions, your subscription will also directly support NIU Athletics financially, making it a true win-win for Huskie fans!"

Built to bring fans closer to the action than ever before, MW+ will serve as the dedicated home for Mountain West and member school live events, original programming, and on-demand content. Through its partnership with Kiswe, the Conference is introducing a modern, interactive viewing experience designed for today's fans—one that is flexible, accessible, and built for scale.

"MW+ is a game-changer for the Mountain West," said Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez. "Not only are we expanding how fans connect with our schools and student-athletes, but we're also creating a powerful new revenue stream that directly benefits our member institutions. This is about building the future of our Conference, and this platform allows us to deliver more of our stories, more of our student-athletes, and more of our live events directly to the audiences who care most."

MW+ will offer an annual subscription for $79.99 and a monthly subscription for $10.99.

To celebrate the launch, the Conference will offer a limited-time early adopter promotion. Fans who purchase an annual subscription in July, August, and September will receive a $67.99 rate, a 15% discount off the standard annual price.

"MW+ is a platform where every school, every sport, and every athlete has a home to tell their stories," said Kiswe CEO, Glenn Booth. "It will not only allow students, faculty, alumni, friends, and family to come together as a community to support their favorite team or athlete, but will also provide direct and material financial benefit to each school. We're excited to partner with the Mountain West on this revolutionary new media model and look forward to bringing MW+ to life in 2026."

The launch of MW+ underscores the Conference's commitment to innovation, visibility, and long-term sustainability. By owning and operating its own platform, the Mountain West is positioning itself—and its member schools—for continued growth in an evolving media landscape.

Fans can watch MW+ worldwide on a variety of platforms and devices, including desktop and mobile web browsers, Apple and Android mobile devices, and streaming devices such as Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Amazon Prime Channels (coming soon), and more.
