DeKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University women's basketball program announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Tuesday. The Huskies will open the season at the NIU Convocation Center against Indiana State on Monday, Nov. 2.
 
This is the fourth straight season NIU and Indiana State will face off on the hardwood. The Huskies go on the road for a pair of in-state matchups starting with a trip to Bradley on Friday, Nov. 6 followed by a meeting at DePaul on Wednesday, Nov. 11. NIU won its last meeting against the Blue Demons, 86-79, at the Convocation Center in 2022.
 
The Huskies host SIUE on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Head Coach Jacey Brooks earned her first win at NIU against the Cougars last season in a 49-30 victory in Edwardsville, the fewest points allowed by NIU to a Division I opponent in program history. The Huskies then head to Evanston on Saturday, Nov. 21 to take on Northwestern. This is the first meeting between NIU and the Wildcats since 2010. NIU closes November with a home game against Roosevelt on Tuesday, Nov. 24 and two games in FIU's Thanksgiving Tournament on Nov. 27 and 29.
 
NIU has four non-conference games in December. The Huskies go to Western Illinois on Saturday, Dec. 12 before hosting UIC on Dec. 15 and Omaha on Dec. 18. The matchup with Omaha will be the first meeting ever between the Huskies and Mavericks. The non-conference slate wraps up on Sunday, Dec. 20 when NIU goes to Iowa. This is the first time since the 2010-11 season that the Huskies will play multiple Big Ten teams.

Pricing starts at $35 for general admission seats and $50 for reserved tickets in sections 103, 111, 112 and 113. Premium experience tickets, including courtside seats, access to Victor E.
