Women's Volleyball | September 10
DeKALB, Ill.— Remaining in-state for the weekend, the Northern Illinois University Huskies volleyball team (2-4) will compete in the SIUE Cougar Clash Sept. 11-12 in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Huskies will face Chicago State (0-6) at 10 a.m. on Sept. 11 before taking on Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-5) at 5 p.m. NIU will face SIUE (0-6) at 2 p.m. on Sept. 12 to round out the tournament.

NIU holds a 12-5 all-time series lead against Chicago State with the Cougars claiming the last four meetings. It will be the first meeting between NIU and Arkansas-Pine Bluff while the Huskies and SIUE will meet for the fifth time in program history. The Huskies claimed last year's meeting, a 3-0 victory in DeKalb.

The Huskies went 1-2 in their home tournament, posting a 3-0 victory against Portland State on September 4.
Junior outside hitter
Ava Grevengoed (Shorewood, Ill./Joliet West) was named to NIU Invitational All-Tournament team, recording 33 kills (3.30 per set) and 19 digs (1.90 per set).
Freshman
Viktoria Djukic (Podgorica, Montenegro) made her debut on September 4 and started twice for NIU. Djukic collected 59 assists (5.90 per set), four service aces in total and 19 digs.
Rylea Alvin (Randolph, Wis./Randolph) and
Autumn Flynn (Luxemburg, Wis./Luxemburg-Casco) led the Huskies with a combined 12 blocks over the weekend.
Standings in the Horizon League
Alvin leads the Horizon league with a .400 hitting percentage and is tenth in the league for blocks.
Kylie Schulze (Wonder Lake, Ill./Woodstock North) is tenth in the league for assists (minimum of 5.00 per set) while
Katie Pahl (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) is fifth in the lead for aces per set.
As a team, the Huskies are fifth for points per set, assists per set, kills per set, and fourth in aces per set.
