Biography

Qualified for the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club after finishing third in qualifying at Grove Country Club with a -6 (69-69=138)

2015-16:
• Competed in all 12 tournaments, recording a 76.75 average
• Three top-20 finishes during the season – Erin Hills (t-19th), Hoosier Collegiate (t-18th) and the MAC Championship (ninth)
• NIU’s top-finisher at the Crooked Stick Invitational (Oct. 12-13) and the Boilermaker Invitational (April 16-17)
• Recorded a season low finish at the MAC Championship earning ninth place honors with +2 performance (April 29-May 1)
• Posted a low round of 70 in the opening round at the Herb Wemberly Invitational (Oct. 19) and the final round at the Desert Shootout (March 19)

2014-2015:
Competed in 11 tournaments, posting a 75.40 scoring average
Named Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week aftering tying for fifth at the Sagamore Preview (Oct. 15, 2014)
Carded season low round of 69 (-2) in the second round at the FAU Slomin Invitational (March 27-29)
Shot a season low 54-hole score of 218 at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational (Sept. 28-29), tying for 14th
Posted a season best finish of T5th place at the Sagamore Preview with a 36-hole score of 143
Competed at the MAC Championships, placing T10, the highest on the Huskie squad, with a 72-hole score of 291

2012-13 (COLORADO STATE):
Played in six tournaments, two as an unattached player with the Rams
Averaged 73.94 during his 18 rounds of play
Won the Ram Masters Invitational, finishing even with a 210 as an unattached member of the squad (Sept. 15-16)
Broke through into the CSU lineup at Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, following his victory, shooting a 221 that was highlighted by a two-under par 70 in the final round; finished tied for 47th (Sept. 24-25)
Appeared in two spring tournaments that season, shooting a spring low 225 at the Fresno St. Lexus Golf Classic, tying for 68th
Shot a season best 67 (-3) at the Ram Masters Invitational in the third and final round (Sept. 16)

2011-12 (WISCONSIN):
Did not compete in fall season ... Left the team after fall semester

ST. CHARLES EAST HIGH SCHOOL:
Two-time conference champion and conference MVP (2009, 2010)
Ranked second in the State of Illinois Polo Golf Rankings (2010)
Team captain as a junior and senior and three-time team MVP
Had the school's lowest 9-hole average and was second all-time with his career 18-hole average of 73.54 strokes per round
Placed sixth at the Class 3A 2010 Illinois State High School Championship firing an 82-69--151 (69 was the low round of the tourney)
Kane County Golfer of the Year in 2010, and was a qualifier for the Illinois State Open and made the cut in 2010 and 2011
Kane County first team all-area
Was the individual medalist of the 2010 and 2011 Upstate Eight Conference River Division tournament championship and earned 2011 UEC Player of the Year honors
Had top-10 finishes in six major events including a win at the Mid-American Junior Golf Tour Memorial Day Invitational with a 73-71-71--215
Also placed first at the Medinah County Shriner's Junior Invitational with a 70-72--142, and was second at the Illinois State Junior Amateur
Fifth at the Midwest Junior Players Championship with a 73-74-71--218, and seventh at the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Quad Cities Championship with a 78-71-71-220
Four-year letterwinner at East High School, Westch has been Academic All-Conference all four years.
