2014 SEASON (SOPHOMORE):
• Made 11 appearances with two midweek starts for the Huskies
• Threw 20.1 innings with a 3.10 earned run average, striking out and walking 10 batters
• Finished 1-2 on the year
• Hurled a career-high seven innings versus UW-Milwaukee, striking out four and walking two with one run allowed (April 9)
• Tossed 5.2 shutout innings on the year
• Earned lone win at Valparaiso, tossing 2.1 innings (33 pitches) while allowing one hit and walk (April 2)
• Made season-debut in Glendale, Ariz. in NIU's series finale with Minnesota, throwing a third of an inning (Feb. 16)
• Helped NIU pitching staff to MAC best 2.93 earned run average in conference play
2013 SEASON (FRESHMAN):
• Made seven appearances in relief
• Made a sterling debut, striking out one in a scoreless outing at Texas Tech (Feb. 17)
• Walked one but didn't allow a run in an inning at Nevada (Feb. 22)
• Shutout the Flames for an inning, picking up his first collegiate win at UIC (May 1)
NEWMAN CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played three varsity baseball seasons at Newman Central Catholic High School
• Was an honorable mention all-conference pick in junior year
• Named team captain in 2011
• Pitched 46 innings, totaling a 3-6 record and 3.35 earned run average, with 66 strikeouts in junior year
• Had a 3-3 record as a sophomore, recording 20 strikeouts on the hill
• Mainly appeared in relief situations freshman year
• Played summer ball with the Northern Illinois Reds

• Son of Matt and Nancy Olson

• Plans to major in business and minor in political science
