2014-15 SEASON: Has a 20-19 overall record this spring, with 11 wins in singles and nine in doubles...Became the 12th member of the NIU 100-combined-win club with a victory at Cleveland State on Jan. 25, 2015...Enjoyed a successful final fall campaign, posting a 14-9 overall record with six singles wins and eight doubles triumphs...Teamed up with Nelle Youel in doubles to win the Chicago State Invite's top-tier Green flight and advance to Regionals in Champaign, Ill., where they would advance to the round of 32 with an 8-5 victory over a tandem from Butler.
2013-14 SEASON: Played at No. 2, 3, and 4, compiling a 10-15 singles overall record... Put in a strong fall season, going 5-1 in singles play... In doubles, played at No. 1 with Nelle Youel throughout the season... Turned in a 15-11 record in doubles overall... Had a good showing in fall doubles matches, going 5-2.
Spring 2013: Compiled an 11-13 singles record, playing in No. 3 and 4 matches... Went 18-6 in doubles, playing mostly with Nelle Youel and adding a couple with Haley Dekkinga... Ran off four straight victories from Feb. 10 to Mar. 2... Won 13 straight doubles matches to begin the season.
Fall 2012: Followed up her freshman season with a 4-2 singles record... Won three consecutive matches in straight sets to open the 2012 fall season, defeating Creighton (6-3, 6-0), North Dakota (6-0, 6-1), and Creighton (6-4, 6-2) to win the Flight B Championship at the Drake Invitational... Also bested Valparaiso in straight sets (6-3, 6-0)... De La Torre and her doubles partner Nelle Youel also fought their way to a 4-2 doubles record, winning three consecutive matches against Valparaiso (8-3), DePaul (8-6), and Western Michigan (8-2) earning a consolation title at the DePaul Invitational... The duo even earned a trip to the 2012 USTA/ITA Midwest Regional in Champaign, Ill. to compete for a spot in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships in Flushing, N.Y. at the USTA-Bille Jean King National Tennis Center... They dropped a hard-fought 8-6 match to Notre Dame to cut their run to New York short.
2011-2012 SEASON: During the fall season played her way to a 4-5 record in singles, including consecutive victories against Western Michigan (6-2, 6-3) and Wisconsin-Milwaukee (6-2, 6-1)... Went 1-4 during doubles play partnering with Ilse Pacheco... That victory came against Lewis University (8-4)... Splitting time between the No. 5 and No. 6 spot, finished the spring season with a record of 6-13 in singles play... won three straight matches, each in straight sets: North Dakota (6-0, 6-3), Bradley (6-2,6-1), and Eastern Illinois (6-1, 6-1)... Also with an even 11-11 record, swept the same three matches in doubles competition: North Dakota (8-3), Bradley (8-4), and Eastern Illinois (8-4).
