2012: Earned MAC All-Tournament team honors. Started and played 19 matches, missing just one match due to injury. Recorded one assist, against third-ranked Creighton in the season opener. Tallied nine shots, including a season-high three twice, against Iona and at Florida Atlantic. Played the full 90 minutes, or more, in 13 matches. Helped the Huskie backline record nine shutouts.
2011: Academic All-MAC honoree. Made 13 appearances, including one start. Scored in NIU[apos]s 3-0 victory over Western Illinois in the NCAA Tournament First Round. Recorded three total shots, all on goal. Played a season-high 66 minutes in a 1-0 victory at Michigan.
2010: Started and appeared in four games, scoring one goal. Tallied the game-winning goal at Northwestern, his first career collegiate goal. Registered three shots on the season, two on goal, all of his shots came against Northwestern.
2009: Redshirted the season.
High School: As a senior, played in the Illinois All-State All-Star Game... recognized as an IHSSCA First-Team All-State honoree and on the Chicago Tribune All-State Second Team.. also named to all-regional and all-conference teams... scored 13 goals, including three game-winners, and added five assists... named most valuable player of the Great Midwest Classic in Indianapolis... helped the Mustangs to a 16-6-3 record and to the Naperville Central Sectional finals... sat out his junior season with injury.. as a sophomore, played in 20 matches, tallying four goals and an assist... part of Downers Grove South[apos]s 14-5-4 conference and regional championship squad.
Club: Played with the Eclipse Select out of Libertyville, Ill. since 2005.
Personal: Son of Debbie and Jerome Mascitti... born Jan. 18, 1991... intends to major in biochemistry... involved in Athletes Committed to Excellence, a group focused on academics, community service, and being a role model for youth... was also a member of the J Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation... earned a place on the Downers Grove South Honor Roll in each semester enrolled... nominee for the Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman, given annually to a high school senior who excels in academics, athletics and community/school leadership... admires Michael Jordan.
