Biography

2017
• Ranked sixth on the team with 47 total tackles while taking over as NIU’s starting middle linebacker starting in game five versus Kent State (10-7) after injury to Kyle Pugh. 
• Posted a season high seven total tackles twice -- versus Kent State (10-7) and Toledo (11-2). 
• Recorded three or more tackles in nine games.
• Made a tackle for loss in back-to-back games against Ball State (11-9) and Western Michigan (11-15). 
• Broke up a pass at Bowling Green (10-21). 
• Collected his lone sack of the season versus Western Michigan (11-15) to go with three solo stops. 
• Finished the Quick Lane Bowl against Duke (12-26) with three solo stops and four total tackles.
• Registered at least one tackle in every game.

2016

• Appeared in all 12 games as a reserve linebacker and special teams player.
• Made 30 total tackles with 15 solo and 15 assists; added three tackles for loss and a quarterback sack.
• Named NIU’s Defensive Player of the Week at Eastern Michigan (11-16) where he made a career-high 14 tackles, six solo and eight assists.
• Recorded his only sack of the season in the season finale at Kent State (11-25) to go with three solo tackles and two tackles for loss.
• Made at least one tackle in 11 of 12 games in 2016.

2015

• Played in 12 games for the Huskies.
• Made 12 total tackles in his first season of eligibility at NIU with seven solo stops.
• Had first career multi-tackle game and recorded a TFL at Miami (10-17).
• Also had two tackles against Eastern Michigan (10-24) and Toledo (11-3).
• Recovered a fumble in the key win vs. Western Michigan (11-18).
• Finished the season with tackles in eight of NIU’s final nine games.
• Earned Academic All-MAC honors.

2014
• Redshirted after transfering from SEMO.
• Named NIU Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for his role in helping the team prepare for the Kent State (10-4) and Western Michigan (11-28) games.

Prior to NIU
• Played in 11 games as a true freshman at Southeast Missouri State.
• Posted 10 tackles, including one for a loss.
• Recorded a career-best five tackles and a tackle for loss against Eastern Illinois (10-19-13).

High School
• Earned all-state, all-area and all-conference honors as a senior.
• Named team MVP after totaling 80 tackles in 2012.
• Picked off two passes each in the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
• Earned all-conference honorable mention as a junior.
