2016-17: Finished the season with a winning record (29-10) and a 13-2 dual record wrestling at 149-pounds…Improved career record to 76-28…Led the team with 6 technical falls…Ranked nationally for al 19 weeks of the season…Appeared in all four NCAA Coaches Panel Poll Rankings…Captured second place at the Michigan State Open (11/20)…Placed fourth at the Mid-American Conference Championships (3/5)…Qualified for his second NCAA Championships (3/17)…Went 3-2 at NCAAs and advanced to the Round of 12.

2015-16: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in New York City as the No. 13 seed at 141 pounds at the end of a stellar 27-10 redshirt freshman campaign…Led NIU in total wins (27), dual wins (12), dual points (41) and major decisions (8)…Started every dual for NIU at 141, going 12-4 (5-3 MAC)…Finished third at the MAC Championships (3/6) to automatically advance to nationals…Won the Michigan State Open (11/15) with victories over No. 13 Danny Sabatello of Purdue and No. 14 Zach Horan of Central Michigan in the final two matches…Started the season with 11 consecutive wins…Midlands Championships (12/30) finalist after winning his first five matches, including a victory over No. 2 Kevin Jack of NC State…Earned five wins over wrestlers ranked in the top-15 at 141 pounds…Had winning streaks of 11, seven and six…Ranked as high as No. 10 at 141 by Flowrestling in November.

2014-15: Redshirted as a true freshman... Went 19-8 on the open tournament circuit, finishing fifth on the team in total wins... Ranked third on the team with seven pins... Took first place at 149 pounds at the "Flash" Flanagan Open (1/10) with four wins, including a technical fall of Alex Davis-Carter of Bethany (Kan.) and a pin of UW-Platteville's Mason Bohm... Also took top honors at the Harper Open (2/7) with two pins and a technical fall... Earned a second-place finish at the Alma Open (1/24), earning a tech fall against Olivet's Matthew Lopez and a pin against Chris Root of Muskegon Community College... Opened the year with a fourth-place finish at the Michigan State Open (11/2), going 3-2 in the fresh/soph bracket... Took sixth place at the EMU Open (11/15) with a 4-2 record.

High School: Four-time varsity letterwinner and team MVP at Chelsea High School... Earned all-state, all-area and all-conference honors each of his four seasons... Posted an undefeated record and won the state title as a senior... Went 45-1 as a junior with the Bulldogs en route to a second-place finish at the state tournament... Placed fourth at the state tournament in 2012, posting a record of 30-6 as a sophomore... Helped CHS to a district team championship in 2013, along with runner-up finishes in 2011 and 2012... Finished with a 52-7 record as a freshman, setting Dexter High School's record for most wins in a season... Took fifth place at the state tournament in 2011... Earned a spot on the 2013 junior duals all-star team with a 10-2 overall record... Competed in the USA Greco-Roman Nationals in 2013... Attended the same high school as NIU head coach Ryan Ludwig.

Personal: Born July 5, 1996, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho... Son of Carl and Kathleen Bleise... Majoring in Corporate and Organizational Communication... Volunteers as a youth wrestling coach... Enjoys wakeboarding and tubing.
