2020: A starter on vault and floor exercise who made her way back into the bar lineup toward the end of the season. Preseason injury limited her on that event. Scored a 9.800 or higher in each of the last seven meets of the year on floor. Had an NQS on floor of a 9.825 and an average of 9.717. Scored above a 9.750 on bars in the three meets, including versus Southeast Missouri in exhibition. Came back to tie her career high on bars with a 9.850 versus Ball State (3-1) to win the event.  Earned a career best 9.875 on vault versus SEMO (2-28) to post one of the highest vault scores for the Huskies since 2017 and take the title. Tied her personal bests on floor exercise with a 9.875 versus Illinois State (3-6) to win the event. Earned Academic All-MAC recognition. Named a WCGA Scholastic All-American.

2019: Starter on three events (vault, bars, floor). Helped lead NIU to first MAC Championship in school history with top 10 finishes on all three events at MAC Championships. Nominated by NIU for MAC Gymnast of the Year. NIU’s most consistent three-event gymnast. Scored 9.700 or better on eight of 12 vaults with season best 9.825 at MAC Championships to tie for fifth. Her average of 9.740 on bars led NIU with eight scores of 9.775 or higher, including a Top 10 finish at MACs. On floor, scored 9.725 or higher in every meet with eight scores of 9.800 or higher and an average of 9.800. Helped the floor team break the school record three times this year, establishing a new mark of 49.425. Her NQS on vault (9.765) and bars (9.770) was second on the team while her 9.840 on floor was tied for third. Named to Academic All-State team and qualified for the Dean’s List. Earned Academic All-MAC honors.

2018: Competed in 13 meets for the Huskies on vault, uneven parallel bars and floor. Named MAC Champion on vault with a 9.850 to tie for first and be named to the First Team All-MAC Championship team. Recorded three scores of 9.800 or higher on vault, four on bars, and seven on floor. Recorded best meet of the season at the MAC Championships, where she earned her 9.850 on vault, 9.800 on bars to tie for 16th and 9.825 on floor to tie for 11th. Named NIU Scholar Athlete of the Week (March 19-25). Set career high scores on vault and bars with two scores of 9.850 on vault for the season and a 9.825 on bars.

2017: Specialized on vault and floor earning a starting lineup spot in all 11 competitions this season as a freshman. Set a personal best vault score of 9.825 as a part of the record-breaking squad that set the team event high score of 49.100 at Kentucky (Feb. 24). She was also a part of the record-breaking floor squad that set the team event high score of 49.350 at MAC Championships hosted by Bowling Green (March 18), contributing with a 9.850. She scored a 9.850 on floor three times to set her personal best on the event. Bartemio also competed on uneven parallel bars as an exhibition competitor for six meets.

Prep: Trained at North Shore Gym in Maple Plain and competed as a level 10 gymnast all four years of high school…She started her high school career strong, scoring a career best of 9.575 on vault during the 2012 Rising Stars Invitational…She also scored a 9.675 on floor during the IGI Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet in 2014, her best score to date…She performed well in the 2013 Minnesota State Championships with and all-around of 37.250 and a career best on the beam of 9.375…During her senior year, she had an all-around total of 37.125 at the USAG state competition, 36.95 at regionals, and a 37.05 at the 2015 Junior Olympic National Championships.

Personal: Born October 10, 1997 in Minneapolis, Minn…. Daughter of Nick and Melissa Bartemio…Majoring in Kinesiology.
