Biography

2017-18: Qualified for the NCAA Wrestling Championships (Mar. 15) … Upset No. 14 Canten Marriott of Missouri, 6-5, en route to a second place finish at the MAC Championships (Mar. 3-4) … Posted a 11-10 record, including 4-4 in MAC play, at 184-pounds ....  Finished as the champion at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 4) … Recorded a tech. fall and a major decision in matches against The Citadel and SIUE (Jan. 13) … Improved his all-time record as a Huskie grappler to 36-38. 

2016-17: Finished the season with a winning record (16-15) and a 25-28 career record…Went 4-2 on his way to sixth place at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/5)...Placed third at the Michigan State Open (11/20)…Recorded three major decision and two pins, the fastest in one minute and 49 seconds…Got on the podium at the MAC Championships (3/5) with a fifth place finish.

2015-16: Did not wrestle competitively.

2014-15: Recorded a 9-13 record as a true freshman... Started seven duals in the middle of the season as an injury replacement, posting a 3-4 record... Finished in fourth at the "Flash" Flanagan Open (1/10) thanks to a technical fall against Upper Iowa's Levi Henry and a major decision over unattached Ryan Renon... Claimed a sixth-place finish at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (11/8) with wins in each of his first three bouts... Picked up his first-career dual win with a 13-1 major decision against Nicholas Allen of Olivet (11/15).

High School: Four-time varsity letterwinner and two-time state qualifier at Lincoln-Way Central High School... Finished with a career record of 132-21 with the Knights... Named to the all-area and all-conference teams as a junior and senior... Placed fourth at the 2014 Illinois state tournament at 170 pounds... Compiled a 46-3 record as a senior, while winning the regional and sectional tournaments... Earned his first-career state tournament berth as a junior, placing fourth at 170... Capped his junior campaign with a 45-5 record, taking first at the regional and sectional tournaments and second at conference... Advanced to sectionals as a sophomore.
