Northern Illinois trendsetter with All-America notice on floor and in classroom. All-star 5-10 forward with game. Contributed significant "firsts" to Huskie women's cage legacy (1) first 1,000-point career scorer, (2) first All-America, (3) first Academic All-America, (4) initial First-Team All-MAC player, and (5) first repeat All-MAC performer. Selected Special Mention Basketball Weekly All-America and Third-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America on 18-14 quintet and state AIAW champ as senior (1981-82). Ranked No. 2 in MAC scoring and No.15 in NCAA at 22.9 ppg. (1981-82). Named First-Team All-MAC, First-Team All-MAC Tourney, First-Team All-AIAW Tourney, Second-Team CoSIDA District All-Academic, First-Team All-Memphis (State) Classic, MVP and First-Team All-NIU Hoop Classic, plus won three MAC POW awards in final winter. Voted First-Team All-MAC, plus Honorable Mention CoSIDA District All-Academic and All-NIU Hoop Classic as junior (1980-81). Graduated with 10 Mid-Am records and at least 27 NIU marks including career points (1,712), season points (688 in 1981-82), and game points (39, vs. Bowling Green State in 1981-82). Led team in scoring three times (16.2 ppg. in 1979-80, 17.0 ppg. in 1980-81, and 22.9 pg. in 1981-82). Voted NIU Woman Athlete of Year (1981-82). Three-time NIU MVP (1979-82). Played pro ball in Dublin, Ireland (1985-86). Former head coach at Elgin CC (1983-85) and Bemidji (MN) State (1990-2002). Transfer from Illinois State. Four-sport star at Hampshire (IL) High.
