All-America on field and in classroom. Rifle-armed, left-handed catcher, long ball threat, and savvy handler of young pitchers. One of four Northern Illinois products to be picked in the first-ever Women's Professional Fastpitch League draft (1995). Posted .275 batting mark and 30 RBIs for WPFL Durham (NC) Dragons. Participated at U. S. Olympic Sports Festival (1989, 1994) and played on U. S. Select Team at the Haarlem Cup in The Netherlands (1993). Named Third-Team National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America, First-Team All-Midwest, North Star Conference Offensive MVP, and First-Team All-NSC on 31-21-0 team as senior (1991). Selected as First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America and First-Team Academic All-District V as soph (1989). Lettered four times on Huskie teams that combined for 127-58-2 won-lost-tied record (1988-91) and won three straight NSC regular-season titles. Inducted into NIU Athletics Hall of Fame as member of legendary 35-11-0 squad that won North Star and NCAA Regional, plus placed seventh at 1988 NCAA Women's College World Series (2002). Two-time Huskie batting leader (.411 in 1991 and .370 in 1990), repeat First-Team All-NSC pick (1988, 1991), and four-year North Star Academic Honor Roll selection. Ranked among all-time leaders in five program career stats categories and shared two Northern Ilinois records. Played on Huskie basketball team (1988-89). Three-year Victory Scholar in NIU Academic Excellence Program. Won nine letters at Antioch High.
