Nikki Kozak, also a member of the 1993 volleyball team being inducted into the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame, currently ranks second on NIU's all-time digs list (1,455), eighth on the school's aces list (125) and 12th all-time in school history in kills (1,215).

In four seasons on the NIU volleyball team, Kozak helped the Huskies win a combined 115 matches, while losing just 29 times, for an overall winning percentage of 79.9 percent.

As a freshman in 1990, Kozak recorded 20 kills and 20 digs against Eastern Illinois. She finished the season with 309 digs and 284 kills.

In 1991, Kozak set a school record with 485 digs while also amassing 310 kills. Kozak recorded 12 double-doubles while helping the Huskies win the North Star Conference Tournament.

While battling a shoulder injury as a junior in 1992, Kozak still led the Huskies with 2.74 digs per game, for a total of 252. Kozak also posted 217 kills and was the recipient of the Northern Illinois F.I.G.H.T Award (For Inspiration, Guts, Hard work, Teamwork). Kozak and the Huskies earned a berth in the National Invitational Volleyball Championships, advancing to the semifinals.

As a senior in 1993, Kozak was named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year. She also earned Mid-Continent Conference Tournament MVP honors while helping the Huskies post 29 wins during her senior season. Kozak led the Huskies in digs (409), kills (404) and service aces (53) during her senior season.
