Huskie Basketball History
NIU All-American Paul Dawkins is the cousin of current NIU assistant coach Lou Dawkins
NIU men's basketball has a long and storied tradition dating back to 1901. During its history, Huskie men's basketball has made three NCAA Tournament Appearances (1982, 1991, 1996), 17 All-America honors, eight players selected in the NBA Draft and two MAC Player of the Year Honorees.
