Television
The success NIU has enjoyed on the field this past decade, coupled with the university’s proximity to the third-largest media market in the country, has resulted in unprecedented national, regional and local coverage of the Huskies through television, radio, print and Internet media. Northern Illinois has become the most televised team in the Mid-American Conference with an average of 10 games per year televised since 2004.
Over the last 10 years, NIU football has appeared on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, CBSSports Network, Fox Sports, Fox College Sports, the Big Ten Network, and Time Warner Sportschannel.
