NIU's facilities have increasingly become some of the best in the Midwest, giving the Huskie volleyball program an added advantage on gameday and during the week.
During matches, Victor E. Court gives NIU a distinct homecourt advantage. With fans close to the action, the atmosphere provides an added boost for the Huskies, while making for an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams. Since opening in 2002, NIU has posted a 134-64 record (.677 winning percentage) on their home floor while facing national powers like USC, Ohio State, Iowa State and Wisconsin.
Outside of matches, the Huskies train inside the Yordon Center's Strength & Conditioning Center. At 12,500 square feet, the center is large enough to enable NIU's professional strength and conditioning coaches to avoid scheduling conflicts while allowing space for warm-ups, plyometric exercises and speed and agility activities. The team also utilizes the athletic training facilities inside the Yordon Center and Convocation Center.
With its intimate seating arrangement and raucous atmopshere, Victor E. Court provides a great home court advantage for the Huskies.
The spacious NIU Volleyball Locker Room provides plenty of room and comfort for players, while also housing several trophies from the program's rich history.
