2021 NIU FOOTBALL SPRING LINKS
The 2021 NIU football team returns to the practice field for its first spring football workouts in two years as the Huskies will turn in 15 workouts between March 19 and April 17. This is the second spring football practice conducted under NIU alum, Thomas Hammock, who enters his third season at the helm of the NIU football program. Last season's spring ball was canceled due to COVID-19, but with safeguards in place, the Huskies are ready to get back to work and get ready for 2021.
2021 SPRING PRACTICE ACCESS GUIDELINES FOR FANS
- During the open practices on April 3, 10 and 17, fans will be admitted to the West Side of Huskie Stadium but are NOT permitted on the field.
- Masks and social distancing are required.
- Parking is available on the streets and hard lots around Huskie Stadium.
- NIU is not responsible for damage to cars caused by foul balls from either Ralph McKinzie Field (baseball) or Mary M. Bell Field (softball).
- Per state of Illinois regulations, TAILGATING IS NOT permitted.
- Post-practice gatherings with players and/or coaches is prohibited.

2021 HUSKIE SPRING SHOWCASE
On April 10, fans are invited to Huskie Stadium for the 2021 NIU Football Spring Showcase.
The Huskie Spring Showcase begins at 11 a.m. and will wrap up at approximately 1 p.m.
The guidelines above will be in effect, so tailgating will not be permitted and the west grass will not be open for cars.
The Showcase will provide an opportunity to see the team go through a typical practice with extensive scrimmage periods. An on-field emcee will provide commentary and interviews with players, coaches and special guests. Check out a player skills competition and hear from NIU Head Coach Thomas Hammock following the conclusion of practice.
Huskie Athletic Fund and Ticket Office personnel will be on hand to answer questions and take your 2021 season ticket renewals.
A limited concessions menu will be available.
