Biography

2017 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- NIU’s closer appeared in 20 games with one start.
- Registered a 1-3 record with a 4.50 ERA in 30 innings of work.
- Struck out 26 batters, including a season-high four at Buffalo (4-9).
- Gave up only one home run on the season.
- Saves against Villanova (2-26) and at Evansville (4-23).
- Opponents hit just .238 off him.

2016 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Missed the entire 2016 season due to injury and was redshirted.

2015 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 26 games.
Totaled 42 innings pitched with a career high 4.0 innings at Akron (Apr. 11).
Allowed 23 hits and countered with 40 strikeouts.
Set career five strikeouts at Iowa (Apr. 22).
Finished the season 2-2 on the mound, nine saves and a 1.69 earned run average.
- Played in the Cape Cod League for the Falmouth Commodores during the summer. 
- Named to the 2015 Cape Cod League All-Star game. 

2014 SEASON (FRESHMAN):
- Made 23 appearances on the mound with two midweek starts, amassing 26.0 innings.
- Finished year 0-1 with a save and a 4.50 earned run average.
- Fanned 19 hitters with 11 walks (one IBB).
- Threw a season-high four innings as a starter at UIC (April 29) and four shutout innings of relief at Akron (May 9).
- Made first career start at No. 8 Cal Poly, totaling 2.1 innings and tossing a season-high 60 pitches (March 13).
- Struckout a season-high three batters at UIC (April 29).
- Picked up first career save in 1-0 win at Southern Illinois, tossing one inning and striking out one (Feb. 28).
- Totaled five games with multiple strikeouts.
- Helped NIU pitching staff to MAC best 2.93 earnedrun average in conference play.

DUNLAP HIGH SCHOOL:
- Ranked the 66th best prospect in the state of Illinois by PBR.
- Listed as a top-performer at the PBR Top-Prospect Showcase.
- Represented Central Illinois in the Suburban Showcase.
- Eagles finished the 2012 season 16-20 and as runner-up in the region.
- Team captain.
- Made 13 appearances on the mound and 10 starts, finishing 3-7 with one save.
- Hurled five complete games and 71 strikeouts.
- Carried a 4.32 ERA in 58 innings pitched.
- Had a productive summer with the Central Illinois Outlaws, finishing with an 8-3 record and a 2.67 ERA.
- Made four saves and struck out 82 batters in 67 innings.

- Son of Scot and Missy Frankenreider.
- Father, Scot, was a four-year golf letterwinner at Bradley.
- Member of the National Honor Society at Dunlap.
