• Played two seasons at College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois
• First team all-region and second team all-conference as a freshman in 2013
• Suffered season-ending injury on April 12, 2014 after four starts and 19.2 innings on the mound
• Finished the year 1-2 with 16 strikeouts and nine walks with an ERA of 3.66
• Had 13 appearances as a freshman with three starts, finishing the season with a 4-1 record and two saves
• Carried a 1.41 earned run average in 38.1 innings with 41 strikeouts and only seven walks
• Only surrendered six earned runs during the season
• Did not allow a run in conference games, tossing 12.2 innings in seven contests
• Was a midfielder on the Lakes High School soccer team as well
