•Stepped up to the plate 153 times, converting 37 hits to finish the season witha .242 batting average and a .379 on base percentage
•Scored 24 times, including a career high three homeruns, and contributed 15 RBI
•Drove in a homerun on his lone hit at the May 16 contest at Ball State
•Set a career high three hits for the third time, the last at Ball State (May 15)
Sat out 2014 season after undergoing undergoing surgery in previous fall2013 SEASON (JUNIOR): • Started 44 of the 47 games he played in at catcher
• Picked off five runners over the course of the season
• Connected on his first collegiate hit, a single, versus BYU (Feb. 16)
• Scored twice at Nevada (Feb. 23)
• Went two-for-three for his first multi-hit game at Minnesota (March 3)
• Drew a pair of walks at Southern Illinois (March 8)
• Belted his first round-tripper, a solo shot, at Belmont (March 15)
• Collected a pair of hits at Lipscomb (March 16)
• Reach base on two singles and scored both times at Akron (March 30)
• Tallied a season-best three hits and scored two runs at Akron (March 31)
• Went two-for-four with his second double in as many games at Central Michigan (April 5)
• Drove in a career-best four runs on two hits versus Western Michigan (April 14)
• Singled and walked twice at Ohio (April 20)
• Singled twice and drove in two versus Eastern Michigan (May 12)
• Went two-for-three with an RBI in back-to-back games at Ball State (May 16-17)
• Had two hits, including a double, in his MAC Tournament debut versus Bowling Green (May 22)
SOUTH SUBURBAN COLLEGE/JOLIET CATHOLIC ACADEMY: • Played one season at South Suburban College
• Bulldogs won the NJCAA Region IV Championship in 2011
• Won the IHSAA 3A State Baseball Championship in 2009 with Joliet Catholic
• Team finished fourth at state in 2010 and third in 2008
• Twice named first team all-conference for the Hillmen
• Named team captain senior season
• First team all-area in 2010
PERSONAL/MISCELLANEOUS: • Son of Steve and Patti Ruzich
• Father, Steve, is the head baseball coach at South Suburban College
• Given the Algebra Award after junior year, as one of the top ten students in grade class
• Admires Josh Hamilton because of the adversity he's overcome to be a great baseball player
