Biography

2022
•    A second team All-MAC choice by league coaches and by Phil Steele.
•    Named the Huskies’ defensive back of the year. 
•    Started all 12 games at safety and led NIU with 76 tackles and had five pass breakups.
•    Made eight tackles in NIU’s season-opening win versus Eastern Illinois (9-1).
•    Had a season-high 13 tackles and a fumble recovery in the Vanderbilt game (9-17).
•    Intercepted a pass, broke up another and made six tackles at Ball State (10-1).
•    His 29-yard interception return was the Huskies’ longest of the season.
•    Recorded nine tackles, five solo, and forced a fumble against Central Michigan (11-2).
•    Earned Academic All-MAC honors. 
•    Named to Bednarik Award, Jim Thorpe Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists in the preseason.

2021
•    Named to Phil Steele’s All-MAC first team and was an honorable mention choice by Pro Football Network. 
•    Assumed the starting role at safety after Devin Lafayette went down with a season-ending injury in the season opener at Georgia Tech.
•    Developed into a first team All-MAC selection and led the Huskies in tackles on the year with 109. 
•    Finished the season ranked 10th in the MAC in tackles per game (7.8) and his 61 solo stops were 14 more than the next highest Huskie.
•    Recorded four tackles for loss, intercepted one pass and broke up another. 
•    Named the Defensive Player of the Game in the MAC Championship game win over Kent State (12-4) after leading NIU with 10 tackles, including a sack and tackle for loss, breaking up a pass and returning his first career interception 26 yards for a touchdown to give NIU a 24-3 lead late in the third quarter. 
•    Earned MAC West Defensive Player of the Week honors following the Buffalo game (11-17) when he tallied 13 tackles, 10 solo, and one-and-a-half tackles for loss. 
•    Made at least four stops in 13 of 14 games on the year and had double-digit totals in four games.
•    Amassed a career-high 14 tackles versus Western Michigan (11-23). 
•    Recorded 10 tackles, seven solo, vs. Wyoming (9-11) in his first career start. 
•    Credited with eight stops, with half a tackle for loss, at Toledo (10-9). 
•    Also tallied eight tackles versus Maine (9-25) and at Central Michigan (10-23) when seven of his team-high eight stops were solo.  
•    Posted five tackles, all solo, at Michigan (9-18). 

2020
• Appeared in all six games as a true freshman, starting two.
• Made his first career start at Western Michigan (11-28).
• Tallied 11 total tackles, including six solo stops.
• Posted a career-high five tackles, four solo, at Western Michigan (11-28).
• Recorded a pass break up against Toledo (12-5).

• Named first team All-Lakes Valley Conference and all-area his junior and senior years. 
• Selected to Wisconsin “Dream Team” as a first team All-State selection his senior year. 
• The 52nd ranked player in Michigan according to 247sports.com, with 54 solo tackles (84 total), and an average of 8.6 tackles per game as a senior. 
• Voted team captain his senior year. 
• Scored 33 touchdowns, made 125.5 total tackles, and intercepted 16 passes, tying for first in interceptions in a career at Walled Lake Western. 
•  Named Player of the Game twice in 2017. T
