Alex Patton enters his first season as a graduate assistant at NIU and will work with the defensive line this season. Patton, a graduate of North Carolina State, comes to the Huskies after working the spring of 2018 at Culver-Stockton College. 

A native of Gastonia, N.C., spent four years as a student assistant coach at his alma mater. He assisted in the creation of scouting reports, playbooks, and other materials for the Wolfpack coaching staff, while helping with film breakdown and coached the scout teams. During his four years at N.C. State, the Wolfpack won three bowl games.

Patton is pursuing a master’s degree in sports psychology at NIU.
