A standout for the Northern Illinois University softball program from 2006-09, Jenna Boland enters her third season as an assistant coach at NIU working primarily with the Huskie outfielders. One Huskie that has benefitted from her tutelage is Nicole Gremillion. A two-time first-team All-MAC selection, Gremillion is fifth on the school[apos]s all-time list for runs scored in a season with 41 and third on NIU[apos]s all-time list for runs scored in a career with 115. In 2012, Boland mentored Dani Parrish first-team All-MAC honors. A native of Verona, Wis., Boland returned to NIU after spending the 2010-11 seasons as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Evansville where she worked with the Purple Aces outfielders. As a player for the Huskies, Boland, the former Jenna Roberts, is tops on the school[apos]s single season list for stolen bases with 26 and is fourth on the career list with 43. Boland and her husband, Michael, have a daughter, Breklyn.
