Born in Akure, Nigeria, Olaitan Oguntodu is in his second season as a graduate assistant for the Huskie defense, working with the linebackering corps.
Oguntodu, who immigrated to Mesquite, Texas, and played collegiately at the university of Kansas comes to NIU after spending a year as a portfolio manager with Fidelity Investments.
Oguntodu was a four-year letterwinner at Kansas in 2006, and from 2008-10, playing safety and linebacker for the Jayhawks. A two-time Academic All-Big 12 first team selection in 2009 and 2010, he recorded 56 tackles, a career high, as a senior, and finished his career with 63 stops in 32 games.
He graduated with a degree in marketing from KU in the summer of 2009 and added a finance degree in December 2009. Oguntodu, who also earned his master's degree in strategic planning from Kansas in 2011, has a daughter, Kloie (7).
