Ryan Napoli was hired as the Director of Sports Performance for the Huskie Football program in January 2019.
Napoli came to NIU after spending the previous two seasons as the football strength and conditioning coach at Southeast Missouri. In 2018, the Redhawks finished 9-4, including a second-round appearance in the NCAA Division I Football Championship for the first time in school history and finished the season ranked No. 15 (STATS Media) and NO. 16 (AFCA) in the final 2018 FCS Polls.
Prior to Southeast Missouri, Napoli, who graduated from Simpson College in Iowa, spent six years on the strength and conditioning staff at FCS power North Dakota State. He assisted the Bison football team during five FCS national championship seasons and directed the strength and conditioning efforts of the track & field and wrestling teams at NDSU.
