Sean Chase is in his first season as a graduate assistant on the NIU staff, but is no stranger to the Huskie football program. Chase, a member of the NIU student equipment staff throughout his four years as an undergrad, will work with the offensive line and offensive coaching staff in 2016. Chase started working with his high school football team as a student assistant coach for Lincoln-Way North High School as the freshman offensive line coach. He also worked as a student coaching intern for the University of St. Francis football team as a senior in 2011-12, assisting with recruiting, fi lm break down and practices. Chase spent his first two years at NIU as a student equipment manager and was promoted to head student equipment manager for his final two seasons. Through his hard work in the equipment room, he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies from NIU in December 2015.Â
