Biography

2010: Saw action in every game except the Illinois (9-18) and Western Michigan (10-30) contests. Played primarily on kickoff coverage squad and got into some games late at linebacker. Recorded six total tackles, three solo, in 12 games. Made his Huskie debut in the season opener at Iowa State (9-2) as a member of the kickoff coverage team. First career tackle came at Minnesota (9-25). Notched two stops, one solo, a week later at Akron (10-2) where he also played linebacker. Credited with a career best two stops, both solo, at Eastern Michigan (11-26). Had an assisted tackle at Ball State (11-20).

High School: A three-year starter for Crete-Monee, helped lead the Warriors to a 10-2 record and the school[apos]s first-ever trip to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs in 2009...an Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) 6A first team All-State honoree in 2009...recorded 90 tackles, 65 solo, three sacks, made two interceptions, recovered two fumbles and caused two fumbles at linebacker his senior year...2009 Chicago Tribune second team All-State selection and Chicago Sun-Times All-Area special mention.

Personal: Born June 20, 1992. Son of Tony Sleming and Gregory Barksdale Jr. Intends to major in sociology.
