•    Saw action in seven games on special teams and in a back-up role on the defensive line.
•    Played in the first five games of the season and came back to play versus Western Michigan (11-23) and versus Kent State in the MAC Championship game (12-4). 
•    Accounted for one assisted tackle in the season opener at Georgia Tech (9-4).

• Earned first team IHSA all-state honors as a senior and was an honorable mention all-state player in 2018.

• Member of the athletics leadership council qualified for the honor roll his junior and senior years.
• Ranked as the No. 149 defensive tackle in the nation by 247sports.com and is the 39th ranked recruit in Illinois.

• Born on September 25 in Hazelcrest, Ill.
• Son of Kim and Jim Hugunin.
• Majoring in sociology.
• His older brother, John, was the all-time leading tackler at Drake.
