High School: Named team captain, first team North Suburban Conference All-Lake Division, first team Pioneer Press All-Area, first team Daily Herald Lake County All-Area, special mention Chicago Sun-Times All-Area, and special mention Chicago Tribune All-State for Class 8A quarterfinalist as senior. Tabbed first team Academic All-NSC and first team Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Academic All-State with 3.8 cumulative GPA after senior campaign. Enter final prep season on preseason Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune Top 100 Area Player lists. Earned honorable mention All-NSC honors as defensive tackle on playoff qualifier as junior.
