Biography

2024
• Saw action in seven games and started versus both Toledo (10/19) and Ball State (10/26) as a redshirt freshman
• Made his third start versus Fresno State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (12/23). 
• Also played versus Western Illinois (8/31), UMass (10/5), Bowling Green (10/12) and at Miami (11/19). 
• Finished season 65-of-111 passing, a 58.6 percent completion rate, for 593 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. 
• Rushed 49 times for 230 yards, a 4.7-yard average.
• Second on the team I total offense with 823 yards on 160 plays and ranked fourth on the team in rushing. 
• Named MVP of the Huskies’ double overtime bowl win after completing 18-of-30 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns.  
• Also caught a two-point conversion pass in the second overtime and ran for 65 yards on 16 carries. 
• Threw for 210 yards on 22-of-46 passing in his first career start against Toledo; carried the ball 14 times for 48 yards.
• Completed 6-of-8 passes at Miami for 31 yards and rushed for 15 yards on three carries. 
• Went 7-of-10 passing for 64 yards at Ball State, adding 27 yards rushing.
• Totaled 89 passing yards on 10-of-14 completions in relief of Ethan Hampton in win at Bowling Green; ran for 47 yards including a 22-yard touchdown that put the Huskies up 14-7 in the fourth quarter.
• Score was the first of his career and his longest run of the year.

• Spent the season as the compete team quarterback against the NIU defense

  • Four-year varsity letterwinner.
  • Served as team captain both junior and senior year.
  • Named team MVP his sophomore, junior, and senior years.
  • Earned first-team All-Conference each of his final three seasons.
  • Collected All-County, All-Region, and All-State honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior. 

Individual Stats 

  • Accounted for 38 total touchdowns in 2022 for Marengo.
  • Responsible for eight touchdowns in senior season win over Johnsburg.
  • Helped lead Marengo to a playoff appearance in 2022.

  • Team went 8-3 his freshman year and made it to the second round of the playoffs.
  • The Indians qualified for the playoffs in 2021 and 2022.
