Named team captain, first team Catholic League All-Metro Red Division and Defensive Player of the Year, first team Star Newspapers All-Area and Defensive Player of the Year, first team Daily Southtown All-Area, first team Joliet Herald News All-Area, first team Chicago Sun-Times All-Area and first team Big Schools All-State, preseason Chicago Tribune Players to Watch and first team All-State, first team IHSFCA Class 5A All-State, and first team Champaign News-Gazette All-State during senior year. Collected 96 tackles, six interceptions, four blocked kicks, and one caused fumble as part of defense that posted seven shutouts on 14-0 state champion team during final campaign. Intercepted pass in 2002 Class 5A state title game. Earned second team Catholic League All-Metro Red and second team all-area honors on Class 6A champion as a junior. Played for Class 5A runner-up in 2000 and semifinalist in 1999. Earned eight letters in four sports. National Honor Society honoree, class president, and student council member.
Personal: Born Oct. 8, 1984. Earned his bachelor[apos]s degree in marketing from NIU in May 2007 and is now working toward master[apos]s degree.
