Biography

Played in 46 games and started 11 as a Huskie, including six as a senior. Primarily saw action at right tackle.

2013: Appeared in 13 games and started six at right tackle. Started the season-opener at Iowa (8-31) and the last five games of the year after Tyler Loos went down with an injury. Helped lead the way for Jordan Lynch's record-setting season that led to Heisman finalist, All-America and MAC MVP honors. The Huskie offense broke nine school and three MAC records. Paved the way for the No. 7 rushing offense in the country as NIU averaged 297.2 yards per game. Part of an offensive unit that ranked 11th in the nation in scoring with 39.6 points per game. Played a key role on an offensive line that allowed only 11 sacks, fifth fewest in the nation. Lynch twice broke the NCAA record for rushing yards by a QB with a pair of 300-yard games (at CMU, versus WMU). Semifinalist for the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award.

2012: Appeared in all 14 games and started the last four games of the year at right tackle. NIU averaged a league-leading 485.8 yards of total offense to rank 15th in the country. The Huskie offensive unit tallied at least 500 yards of offense in seven games, including a season-high 622 yards against Central Michigan (9-29). Member of a unit that has allowed only 1.2 sacks per game which ranked fourth in the MAC and is 21st in the nation. Part of a potent NIU attack that led the conference and ranks ninth nationally in scoring offense with 40.8 points per game.

2011: Saw action in NIU[apos]s final 10 games of the season. Played primarily on special teams with limited time as a backup offensive tackle.

2010: Saw action in the Huskies[apos] first eight games of the season as a member of the PAT/Field Goal unit.

2009: Redshirted

High School: Earned first team all-state, all-area and all-conference recognition as a senior. Garnered honorable mention Junior All-State accolades and was named all-area as a junior. Voted Most Valuable Offensive Lineman for the Bulldogs. Received Academic All-State honors as a senior. Team posted a 12-2 record his junior year after winning nine games his sophomore season. Earned three varsity letters for football. Was a regional qualifier in shotput and discus as a junior.

Personal: Born December 14, 1990. Son of Louis and Martha Krempel. Victor E. Scholar holds a 3.649 GPA. Majoring in health sciences. Father lettered in both football and track at Davidson College, where he earned offensive MVP honors. Enjoys fishing and watertubing. Admires Peyton Manning. Aspires to become a physical therapist.
