2013: Appeared in all 14 games playing on the kickoff coverage and punt coverage units. Recorded seven tackles on the year, six solo stops. Had a pair of solo stops versus Eastern Michigan (10-26) with a pass breakup. Made two stops at UMass (11-2). Recorded solo tackles versus Ball State (11-13), at Toledo (11-20), and in the Poinsettia Bowl (12-26), when he suffered a knee injury on the first kickoff.
2012: Earned his first career game action against Buffalo (10-13). Also saw playing time against UMass (11-3). Garnered Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week honors following the Central Michigan (9-29) game. Named the Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Week for the Akron (10-20) game.
2011: Did not see any action during the year.
Previous School: Totaled 81 tackles, 22 pass breakups, four interceptions and two blocked kicks in two seasons at Harper Junior College. Posted 44 stops, 14 pass breakups, a fumble recovery and three interceptions in 2010 for the Hawks as a team captain. Recorded 37 tackles as a freshman, along with a forced fumble and an interception.
High School: Caught 21 passes for 745 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior at Thornwood High School. Returned 14 kickoffs for 218 yards, scoring once. Compiled 28 tackles and two interceptions at defensive back during the 2008 season.
Personal: Born Oct. 3, 1990, in Chicago, Ill. Son of Dale and Kimberly McNeal. A communication studies major. Enjoys playing the piano.
