Biography

2019
• Started 10 games at defensive end.
• Recorded 25 tackles on the year, including 18 solo stops.
• Tallied a career-high seven tackles, five solo, in the season finale against Western Michigan (11-26).
• Tied his career-best in sacks with two.
• Posted solo sacks against Illinois State (8-31) and at Toledo (11-13).
• Amassed 6.5 tackles for loss, which ranked second on the team, including a season-high two against Western Michigan (11-26).
• Added a quarterback hurry at Central Michigan (11-2).

2018
• Saw action in every game as part of the Huskies’ rotation at defensive end, backing up All-American Sutton Smith and all-conference performer Josh Corcoran.
• Ranked fifth on the team with 7.5 tackles for loss and his 26 stops on the year were a career high.
• Tallied at least one tackle in 11 of the Huskies’ 14 games.
• Both of his tackles in the Boca Raton Bowl versus UAB (12-18) went for losses for his third two-TFL game of the season.
• Made four tackles with two tackles for loss, including a sack, in the Utah (9-8) game.
• Had a tackle for loss and recovered a fumble at Florida State (9-22).
• Recorded a career-high five tackles and tied a career-high with two tackles for loss in triple-overtime win at Eastern Michigan (9-29).
• Credited with three solo tackles at Ball State (10-6).
• Posted a pair of tackles with one-half for loss versus Toledo (11-7) in just one half of action.
• Cited for targeting at Akron (11-1), which the MAC later reviewed and announced the call was an error; he still sat out first half of the Toledo game.

2017
• Saw action in nine games as a reserve defensive end after missing the final three games of the season due to injury.
• Totaled eight tackles as a sophomore.
• Credited with three tackles, including a sack, against Eastern Illinois (9-9).
• Made tackles in back-to-back games against Kent State (10-7) and Bowling Green (10-21).
• Tied his career-high with three tackles at Toledo (11-2).

2016

• Selected as an Academic All-MAC honoree.
• Totaled 12 tackles for the season with four solo tackles, eight assisted tackles, one sack and two and a half tackles for loss.
• Made a season-high three tackles twice - first against Central Michigan (10-15) with two solo tackles and an assisted tackle with a tackle for loss of six yards, and again versus Eastern Michigan (11-16) with one solo tackle and two assists.
• Recorded his first career sack against Toledo (11-9).
• Started his first game as a Huskie at defensive end at Wyoming (9-3) and saw action in all 12 games as part of the defensive line rotation.

2015

• Redshirted.
• Named NIU Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the practices before games against Central Michigan (10-3) and Eastern Michigan (10-24).

High School
• Standout player at one of Missouri’s top high school football programs.
• As a senior, recorded 55 tackles and was defensive captain for Missouri’s 6A state-championship Christian Brothers team.
St. Louis Dispatch Super 30 honoree.
• Named to the second team All-State squad by the Missouri coaches.
• Three-time All-Metro Catholic selection, winning the league each year.

• Born Jan. 10, 1997, in Saint Louis, Mo.
• Son of Bernard and Sherri Wynne.
• Earned his undergraduate degree from NIU in biological sciences in Spring 2019.
