Biography

2019
• Started 11 of 12 games at safety
• Fourth on the team in tackles with 50, including 2.5 tackles for loss.
• Tied for the team lead in fumble recoveries with three, including a two-yard fumble return at Toledo (11-13).
• Tallied a career-high nine tackles twice; against Ball State (10- 5) and Central Michigan (11-2).
• Amassed five stops, all solo, against Western Michigan (11-26).
• Scored his first career touchdown when he recovered a fumble in the end zone against Akron (10-26).
• Made four stops, one-half for loss, and broke up two passes at Ohio (10-12), including one on fourth-and-two.
• Registered four stops at Utah (9-9) with half a tackle for loss.
• Made three tackles, with one-half for loss, versus Illinois State (8-31).   
• Academic All-MAC honoree.

2018
• Accounted for a career-best 56 tackles in 2018, with 38 solo, while starting 11 of the 12 games he played.
• Made five solo stops in the MAC Championship win over Buffalo (11-30) and had six tackles with a pass break-up in the Boca Raton Bowl (12-18).
• Injured vs. Toledo (11-7) and missed Miami (11-14) and WMU (11-20) games.
• Posted a career-high eight tackles at Akron (11-1), with five solo.
• In on two of Ohio’s (10-13) three turnovers with his first interception of the year and a forced fumble.
• Returned the INT 17 yards to the Ohio 34-yard line.
• Credited with five tackles and a pass breakup at Ball State (10-6).
• Made seven stops - all solo - at Florida State (9-22) with a seven-yard tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
• Registered six tackles vs. both Iowa (9-1) and Utah (9-8) and had five stops at Eastern Michigan (9-29).
• Broke up a career-best two passes vs. CMU (9-15), and intercepted CMU’s two-point pass attempt.
• Named to the Academic All-MAC team for the third time with a GPA above 3.2.

2017
NIU’s starting nickel back in five defensive back sets. 
• Of his 23 tackles on the year, 22 were solo stops. 
• Made a season-high five tackles against Ball State (11-9). 
• Blocked a punt, which Jackson Abresch picked up and ran in for a touchdown, in NIU’s win over the Cardinals. 
• Intercepted his first career pass, forced a fumble, and recorded a pair of quarterback sacks at Bowling Green (10-21). 
• Credited with three solo stops versus Kent State (10-7).  
• Also a member of several NIU special teams units. 
• An Academic All-MAC honoree in 2017. 

2016
• Tallied at least one tackle in 10 of the 11 games he played on the season.
• Totaled 26 tackles as a reserve safety and was a regular on special teams.
• Recorded a season-high five tackles with two solo tackles and three assists in the season-opener at Wyoming (9-3).
• Made four tackles twice, at USF (9-10) and versus Central Michigan (10-15), where he had four solo tackles.
• Qualified for the Academic All-MAC team.

High School
• Excelled on both sides of the ball during his prep career in Alabama.
• As a senior, helped Tuscaloosa Academy to an 8-3 season and an appearance in the playoffs.
• Selected to play in the Class of 2K15 AISA All-Star Game.
• Named first team All-State as a wide receiver in 2014.
• Also lettered and made the playoffs as a junior at Tuscaloosa Academy.

• Son of Alexius Foster and Tynita Kichard.
• Earned his bachelor's degree in organizational and corporate communications from NIU in Spring 2019.
