Biography

2014:
• Ranked seventh in the MAC with a 41.7 yard average as NIU’s starting punter.
• Pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line on 29 occasions, and never conceded a touchback all season.
• Boomed 15 punts of 50-plus yards.
• Helped NIU lead the MAC with a 40.1-yard net punting average.
• Also made eight field goals, including a career-long 45-yarder at UNLV (9-13), and finished as NIU’s second-top scorer with 55 points.
• Hit a career-long 66-yard punt against Bowling Green (12-5).
• Averaged a career-best 46.4 yards per punt at Arkansas (9-20).
• Kicked off 38 times with two touchbacks and a 55.7-yard average.
• Ray Guy Award Semifinalist as one of the nation’s top punters.
• Named MAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performances against UNLV (9-13) and Ohio (11-18).

2013:

• Ranked sixth in the MAC with a 40.8-yard punting average.
• Posted a 59.8-yard average on kickoffs to rank fifth in the conference.
• Thirty-two of 101 kickoffs went for touchbacks.
• Punted for at least a 42-yard average in nine games.
• Placed 14 punts inside the 20-yard line and forced 26 fair catches.
• Had only one punt result in a touchback.
• Took over placekicking duties versus Akron and Central Michigan and converted three-of-five field goals with a long of 42 and all eight of his PAT tries.
• Recorded a career-long 56-yard punt at Kent State (10-5).

2012:
• Averaged 59.0 yards per kickoff attempt.
• Surpassed a 60.0 per kick average in eight of NIU[apos]s 14 games.
• Ranked third in the MAC with 32 touchbacks.
• Converted his only two PAT attempts in a victory against Central Michigan (9-29).
• Averaged a season-best 65.0 yards per kickoff in the Orange Bowl against Florida State (1-1).

2011:
• One of only four true freshmen to letter in 2011.
• Averaged 60.7 yards on 86 kickoffs with six touchbacks.
• Averaged 60 yards or more per kickoff in eight games and exceeded 65 yards or more four times.
• Had a career-best 67.8-yard average on eight kickoffs with two touchbacks against Kent State (10-8).
• Successfully executed two onside kicks at Central Michigan (10-1).
• Named NIU[apos]s co-Special Teams Player of the Week following the Eastern Michigan (11-25) game.

High School:
• Earned all-state recognition as a punter as a senior.
• Finished his senior campaign with 1,359 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air, 1,089 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground and kicked 40-of-44 PATs and three-of-five field goals.
• Booted a 54-yard field goal in the playoffs that ranks as the seventh-longest all-time in Wisconsin.
• Named first-team all-conference as a kicker, punter, and defensive back in the last two years and at quarterback his senior year.
• Named the Wisconsin State Journal 2010 Area Player of the Year.
