- Five top-20 finishes in seven spring events
- Tied for 18th at Missouri State (March 20-21) at +4; carded a three-under par 68 in second round
- Had back-to-back rounds of one-under par 69 to close The Goodwin (March 30-April 1), hosted by Stanford, at even par and in a tie for 16th
- Was also even par at Hawkeye Invitational (April 14-15), tying for 20th place
- Posted a four-under par 68 in the second round of the MAC Championship (April 30-May 2), leading NIU with a t-5 finish
- Had a career-best 67 in the opening round of the NCAA Salem Regional (May 15-17); followed it up with rounds of 69 and 71 to finish at nine-under par and in a tie for 14
th place
2021-22:

- Shot a season-low four-under par 68 in final round of Washington County Individual (Sept. 5-6); tied for 13

th at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-4) with a 54-hole score of two-under par 214; Carded a three-under par 69 in the final round
- Placed in the top-20 at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate (April 23-24) with a 54-hole score of 217 (+1)
- Had his best finish of the season at the MAC Championship, tying for seventh place

Prior to NIU: Place led the Lancers to a second-place finish at the DuKane Conference Tournament in 2018... He won the individual conference championship and was named the DuKane Conference Co-Golfer of the Year... As a team, the Lancers qualified for the IHSA Class 3A sectionals after taking third place at the Lane Tech regional... Place was Lake Park's low scorer at the regional with a 71.
