Biography

2006 All-MAC Tournament Team 2006 All-MAC Second Team 2006: Garnered All-MAC Tournament Team and All-MAC Second Team honors, after helping goalkeeper Joe Zimka record the lowest goals against per game average in NCAA history (0.21). Ranked second on the team in game-winning goals, after striking the net in the Huskies[apos] 4-1 defeat of Western Michigan, and 3-0 triumph over Buffalo in the opening round of the MAC Tournament. 2005: One of only two Huskies to start every match. Finished tied for fourth on team in points (six) with one match-winning goal. Three of his four set-ups helped make him co-leader for match-winning assists. Scored his only goal during Northern[apos]s first road win at Saint Louis. Combined with Chris Rufa to set up match-winner of 3-2 OT triumph against Western Illinois and then teamed with Jose Alvarado for match-winning assists at Wisconsin-Green Bay and at Bowling Green. 2004: One of only three freshmen starters in 2004 ended up tied for sixth in point production with seven (2g/3a). All three set-ups were in combination with Jose Alvarado, including match-winners vs. IPFW and at Buffalo. Other assist came versus Wisconsin-Green Bay while both goals capped off back-to-back 3-0 shutout victories--vs. Valpo and at Buffalo. High School: IHSSCA All-Stater led Lincoln-Way East in scoring (24 pts.-10g/4a). Chicago Tribune Special Mention All-State, Star Newspaper Player of the Year and First-Team All-Area pick by Star, Daily Herald and Daily Southtown. Three-time All-SICA West Division pick and team Defensive MVP for all four campaigns. Was overall MVP and captain as senior when L-WE posted 11 shutouts en route to second regional crown. Griffins were 29-17-4 during his last two campaigns. Club: Member of Chicago Magic, including squads which claimed 2003 U.S. National Champion, U.S. Region II title (2003), state crowns (1999, 2000-02-03) and Holland Cup (2001). MVP of Magic[apos]s U-17 crew in 2003 with 26 points (11g/4a). Major: Organizational Communications.
