2021-22 SEASON: Named to the All-MAC Second Team … Earned Academic All-MAC recognition … Won 10 singles matches, including seven in dual matches … Won five of those matches playing at number one and two playing at number two … Began the dual season with a four-match win streak (Jan. 23-Feb. 6) … Won 14 doubles matches, including eight in dual matches … Earned all eight of those wins playing with Oliver Valentinsson … Also paired with Oliver Valentinsson to win the flight two doubles title at the River Forest Collegiate Invitational. 

2020-21 SEASON: Earned First Team All-MAC recognition … Claimed Academic All-MAC honors ... Earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week, along with Oliver Valentinsson, on March 17 … Posted a 15-7 singles record … Had two wins at number one, eight at number two and five at number three … Recorded a 18-4 mark in doubles, all playing with Oliver Valentinsson, including a 7-2 mark in conference play … Earned four wins at number two and 14 at number three … Won seven of his last nine singles matches to finish the season. 

2019-20 SEASON: Won the flight two double title, with Shao-Yu Yu, at the MAC Indoor Invitational … Posted a 6-11 singles record, including a 1-3 mark in dual matches … Had a 12-6 mark in doubles play, including a 3-1 record in dual matches … All 18 doubles matches came playing alongside Shao-Yu Yu … The pair won six consecutive matches from the end of fall play (Nov. 8) through Jan. 25. 

2018-19 SEASON: Academic All-MAC honoree … Claimed, along with Eric Marbach, MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors on Jan. 23 and Feb. 6 … Recorded a 13-11 singles marks, including 6-6 in dual matches … Had a 14-10 doubles record, including 8-4 in dual matches, with all 24 matches played alongside Eric Marbach … Ortega and Marbach won seven of their eight dual matches at number one … Missed time between Feb. 9 and April 14 due to injury … Won three of his four matches after returning from injury, with one match unfinished … Reached the quarterfinals of the Cleveland State Viking Invitational.
