Biography

2019
• Played in 10 games, starting at Ohio (10-12) and against Eastern Michigan (11-19).
• Contributed 23 tackles on the year, tied for second among interior linemen, to finish with 100 stops for his career.
• Added a pair of tackles in season opener versus Illinois State (8-31) as Huskies held the Redbirds to 51 rushing yards and just one touchdown.
• Missed the Nebraska and Vanderbilt games due to injury.
• Made a season-best seven stops against Toledo (11-13), including a half sack.

2018
• Started first nine games of the season and played in all 14.
• Ranked third among NIU defensive linemen in tackles with 34.
• Named second team All-MAC by Pro Football Focus.
• Made at least one tackle in 13 of NIU’s 14 games.
• Posted four stops vs. Toledo (11-7).
• Recorded his first career blocked kick at Akron (11-1) when he batted down a potential game-tying PAT which NIU ran in for a two-point defensive PAT.
• His lone assisted tackle in Boca Raton Bowl game vs. UAB (12-18) was for loss.
• Forced BYU QB out of pocket on multiple occasions in 7-6 Huskie win (10-27).
• Made a career-high eight tackles, with 1.5 sacks, versus CMU (9-22).

• Part of a stellar defensive effort by NIU at Eastern Michigan (9-29) when defense held EMU without a first down on 10 drives.

2017
• Started the first 12 games and led all interior linemen with a career-high 37 stops. 
• Tallied a season-high seven tackles with 2.5 for loss and a sack for six yards at Central Michigan (11-24). 
• Recorded two solo and two assisted sacks for minus 20 yards on the year, while his 7.5 tackles for loss ranked fifth on the team. 
• Sacked Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee for an eight yard loss in the Huskies’ upset win (9-16). 
• Finished strong with four tackles for loss and 15 tackles in the last three games of the season. 
• Totaled five tackles, one-half for loss, versus Western Michigan (11-15). 
• Made five stops with 1.5 for loss and half a sack at Buffalo (10-14). 

2016
• Saw playing time in first eight games of the season as a true freshman before an injury sidelined him.
• Recorded a career best five tackles at South Florida (9-10), including four solo stops.
• Made his first career tackle in the season opener at Wyoming (9-3).

High School
• Garnered Defensive Player of the year by Pioneer Press, Daily North Shore and Chicago Catholic Blue and All-State by the Chicago Tribune and IHSFCA.
• Tallied 83 tackles with 17 tackles for loss and 12 sacks during senior season.
• Three-year letterwinner, helping Loyola go 31-4 during his time there.
