Caitlin Connor

Caitlin Connor is in her first season as Director of Operations for the NIU women's basketball team.

“Caitlin will be a great addition to our Huskie family,” Carlsen said. “She’s a tremendous worker and very thorough and organized. It’s evident that she really loves the game. I’m excited to have her on our staff here at NIU.”
 
Connor comes to NIU after two seasons as an assistant coach at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. In her role as assistant coach, Connor strengthened player development and assisted with practices, team activities and fundraising. She also oversaw the academic advisement of women’s basketball student-athletes.
 
“I cannot thank Coach Carlsen enough for this opportunity to work alongside her and this amazing coaching staff as well as this fantastic team,” said Connor. “I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to be part of the Huskie family and I’m excited for what this season will bring.”
 
Prior to her time at Cardinal Stritch, Connor was a student assistant coach with the men’s basketball team at her alma mater Wisconsin-River Falls. She completed a coaching practicum her senior year with UW-River Falls’ men’s basketball team in the 2019-20 season, keeping statistics on the bench and providing social media marketing among other tasks. After graduating in May of 2020 Connor took on the role of video coordinator for the UW-River Falls women’s basketball team.
 
A native of Slinger, Wis., Connor earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UW-River Falls in May of 2020. Connor was a Magna Cum Laude graduate and a member of the Psi Chi Honors Society.
