Mariyah Brawner-Henley is in her first season as a graduate assistant with the Northern Illinois University women’s basketball team. Brawner-Henley comes to NIU after playing a season professionally with Aabyhoj in Denmark.
Lewis University’s all-time leading scorer (1,981 points) and rebounder (1,282), Brawner-Henley was a three-year starter for the Flyers. A two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year (2013-14 & 2015-16), she helped lead the Flyers to four-consecutive NCAA Tournament berths and one GLVC Championship. She earned All-America honors in each of her last three seasons at Lewis and collected 72 career double-doubles, which is second in NCAA history.
