Prior to NIU: Four-year letterwinner at Waukee High School... Graduated as Waukee's all-time leader in three-pointers made and eclipsed 1,000 career points... Earned Third Team All-State honors in leading Waukee to the Iowa Class 5A state semifinals... Averaged 14.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in helping lead the Warriors to the Iowa Class 5A state semifinals in 2024... Was a First Team All-Conference, All-Area and All-State honoree in 2024... As a sophomore Sorensen averaged 10 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 42 percent from the three-point line.
