Floor - 9.900 (vs. Western Michigan, 3-4-18)

2018: Second team All-MAC selection was a MAC Champion on vault with a 9.850 vault at the MAC Championships. She and teammate Amanda Bartemio tied for the vault title, becoming the first NIU MAC Champions on the event all-time. Tied the school record on uneven parallel bars with a 9.950 versus Ball State on Feb. 25. Competed in the NCAA Regionals as an all-around qualifier for the second consecutive season. Tallied an all-around score of 38.650 at Regionals, with her best scores on vault (9.775) and floor exercise (9.775). Named the Huskies’ Most Valuable Performer for the third time. Competed in every event in every meet on the year. Took fourth in the all-around at the MAC Championships with scores of 9.850 on vault and bars, 9.775 on balance beam and 9.800 on floor. Her RQS of 39.270 in the all-around ranked second in the MAC while her 9.875 on bars was fourth and her 9.840 mark on vault third. For the season, recorded team-high scores on vault (9.850) and uneven parallel bars (9.950). Her balance beam and floor exercise bests of 9.900 ranked second on the team in 2018. Averaged a 9.813 on vault and a 9.850 on bars for the season. Won or tied for first on vault five times and was second in five meets. Had five first-place finishes on bars, one on beam and five all-around titles. Scored a 9.825 or higher on bars in 12 of 13 team meets prior to NCAA Regionals. On vault, earned scores of 9.800 or better 10 times. Cleared the 39.000 mark in the all-around nine times.

2017: Competed in all 11 competitions this season as an all-around competitor for the Huskies, averaging a total score of 38.918. Potts tallied four career highs for the season including her 9.850 vault score that she earned at Central Michigan (March 11), her 9.900 uneven parallel bars score at the MAC Championships hosted by Bowling Green (March 18), her 9.875 balance beam score when NIU hosted Kent State and Southeast Missouri State (Jan. 29) and her 9.800 floor score she earned versus Eastern Michigan (Feb. 17). Her 9.900 bars score at the MAC Championship earned her the title of MAC Champion on the event. She was selected to continue her season at the NCAA South Central Regional. Earned the MAC Gymnast of the Week award after the Kent State and SEMO competition.

2016: Competed in all 12 meets this season. Set a personal best on bars with 9.900 at Bowling Green (3-12). Tied personal best on vault (9.775) at the IGI Chicago Style Meet (2-12) and at Bowling Green (3-12). Worked her way onto the balance beam lineup after a 9.800 exhibition performance against Central Michigan (1-22) and posted a personal best of 9.850 at the IGI Chicago Style Meet (2-12). Tied personal best on balance beam at Bowling Green. Earned 10th spot on NIU’s all-time list for all-around scores with 39.275 at Bowling Green. Set personal-best on floor with 9.800 at the MAC Championships (3-19).

2015: Participated in nine events this season on the uneven parallel bars, five on the balance beam and four on the vault. Posted her career best on the uneven bars at the IGI Chicago Style Meet (2-13) and at the State of Illinois Classic (3-7) with a 9.825. Scored career highs on the vault and beam with a 9.825 and 9.775 respectively at NIU's Tri-Meet versus Bowling Green and Alaska (2-15). Scored very similar results at Southeast Missouri State (2-20) with a 9.750 on vault, a 9.800 on bars and 9.800 on beam. At Ball State (2-27), she tied for eighth on vault with a 9.725 and collected her third-straight second place finish on bars with a 9.750. Put up a consistent three-event score with a 9.750 in vault, 9.725 in bars and 9.750 on beam. At the MAC Championships (3-21), posted a 9.675 in vault, 9.350 in bars and 9.050 in beam.


Prep: Trained at Huntley Unlimited Gymnastics School in Huntley Ill. with four years as a USAG Level 10 competitor. Competed in the 2013 Level 10 Junior Olympics National Championship where she posted a personal best in the balance beam with a 9.425 to tie for ninth. Also tied for 28th in the all-around competition. Scored personal bests in the all-around (37.800), uneven bars, (9.500), and floor exercise, (9.400) in the 2014 Illinois Level 10 State Championships. Took third place in all-around and bars, and fifth place on floor. Won vault at the BIG Dream Classic 2014 with a personal best score of 9.725.

Personal: Born on Sept. 29, 1995 to parents Jennifer and Jeffrey Potts. Was an honor roll student all four years of high school.
