- Started on the floor exercise at 10 meets.
- Scoring a personal best of 9.775 at the MAC Championships (3-20).
- Accumulated a NQS of 9.719 on floor.
- Scored above a 9.600 on floor exercise five times throughout the season.
- Competed exhibition on uneven bars three times with a personal high score of 9.525 at Central Michigan (2-11).
- Academic All-MAC team member.
- WCGA Scholastic All-American; member of the top ranked academic Women’s Gymnastics team in the nation.
2020: Did not compete due to injury. Named a WCGA Scholastic All-American.
2019: Did not see action.
Prep: Trained at New Heights Gymnastics since 2015 with all of those years at Level 10. Finished the 2017 season at Region 5 Championships where she scored 9.150 on vault and 9.125 on floor exercise. At the 2017 Ohio Levels 6-10 State Championships, placed fifth in the all-around with a score of 36.825, third on floor exercise (9.5), fifth on balance beam and sixth on vault. The previous year (2016), was eighth all-around, fifth on beam and sixth on vault. Won the balance beam at Level 9 regional meet in 2014, and took the state titles on vault and floor exercise.
Personal: Has been competing in gymnastics since age three. Majoring in biological sciences. Daughter of Dena and Steve Martz. Member of the Delphos St. John’s Honor Roll for four years and was class salutatorian. Participated in the Community Christmas Project during high school and was inducted in the National Honor Society.
